Here's the new packaging for 0.8.A.

I can't test it because it depends on libasound2 which makes a conflict with Ubuntu Intrepid normal installation. I don't know if that's supposed to be like that or not.

I have libasound2 installed on a normal Ubuntu Intrepid system, what problem
do you have when you try and install it?

Please work that out and test it and then I or someone else will sponsor it.

I get this:
 mednafen depends on libasound2 (>> 1.0.18) but you have 1.0.17a-0ubuntu4 installed.

but jaunty will have 1.0.18-1ubuntu1, so I think : 1.0.18-1ubuntu1 >> 1.0.18 will work, no? : )

Note: for dependances, I just have Depends: ${shlibs:Depends} so I can't tweak it anyway.. but maybe we don't care. just saying!

Hi,

That would require testing on a Jaunty system then.

If you can't do that then I will upload soon, as it is still very early in
the cycle, as long as you will test on jaunty sometime soon to give us
time to fix things if the package doesn't work.

Thanks for testing, please file a wishlist bug against the debian
package stating that there is a new upstream version available,
and giving a pointer to your updated package, or just stating
that there you believe there are no packaging changes needed for
the new version.
