Bug Description

My 3G internet connection works perfectly, but when plugging a wired network's cable in it detects it and tells me I'm connected, but I can't access the internet. I pinged google.com but still nothing. According to the help forums it seems like a lot of people are having this problem, but there is not fix, so I guess it must be a bug?

Has anything been done about this? This is a huge problem as far as I can see.

Guys, still nothing? This should be a simple thing right?

Tried to sort it out on LinuxQuestions http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-hardware-18/no-wired-internet-connection-in-ubuntu-8.10-684272/page2.html#post3358816 but nothing.

Please steer me in the right direction.

Thanks.
