Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-extra

After installing Ubuntu 8.10 (32bit), window previews in compiz don't disappear after moving the mouse away from the task in the panel. They will remain drawn on the screen until something else is painted over them, such as another window preview, or another window is put over them.

This occurs no matter what GTK theme I'm using.

Ubuntu 8.10 32bit (Gnome)
nVidia 8800GTS (nVidia driver 177)

I'm in the same boat. I'm using Intrepid on a thinkpad R60.

I can elaborate on the issue some... Previews which should contain animations (such as videos or scroll bars) don't animate when you take your cursor off the task bar item. Not sure if this is useful information or not, but it's more to go on nonetheless.

Hi,
i'm running Ubuntu 9.04 and have / had (?) the same problem.
Increasing the fade in/out time of windo previews from <0.1s to ~0.1s seems to solve the problem for me...
