Bug Description
Routine updates on 8.10 - Update manager incessantly tells me "One update is available" and the crashes during attempted install. 30-odd other updates installed normally. This has happened on two different systems, both using the WUBI install with the Ubuntu systems in a file (i.e. virtual disk drive) on a Windows XP NTFS partition.
