Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules-intrepid

Hi all,
I have a Problem! I have a clean install of Intrepid and tried to activate my Wi-Fi! My card is "Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)".

I installed "linux-backports-modules-intrepid" and the ath5k driver works, but I can't see my WPA network in network-manager (My Network is not hidden!!). I can see networks from the neighborhood (WEP networks).

I tried to install a Madwifi-Snapshot but I get the same problem. "iwlist scan" gave also no results (only WEP networks)!

Under Hardy I had no problems with the Madwifi drivers!

greetings
Ray

For me (and I have the same card) this worked -> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/madwifi-tools/+bug/242080

Ok I guess I found a solution. Thanks Thermaltaker for your help but that was not the problem. My SSID was on Channel 13. And it seems like the ath5k can't find any networks on channel 13.
