Bug Description

Ubuntu 8.10 32bit with all the lastest updates as of 11/7/2008, installed on a Thinkpad R61, browser is latest Firefox3. To see the problem, go to www.nasdaq.com, enter any stock symbol and choose real time quote, the chart coming out is blank, nothing. Looks like flash plugin doesn't work. Also tried latest Opera browser, doesn't work either.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. If this is a fresh install you will need to install the 'Macromedia Flash Plugin' via add/remove programs. If flash is already installed then you can check the version you are running by looking in Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins -> Shockwave Flash.

The flash plugin is already installed. Shockwave Flash 9.0 r999, Gnash 0.8.4.

Reassigning this to the gnash package, since thats the flash plugin you're using. I can confirm this website flash content shows up blank using gnash 0.8.4-0ubuntu1 on firefox 3.0.3+nobinonly-0ubuntu2. The flash content works using flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.12.36ubuntu1 (which you can install by choosing 'Macromedia Flash plugin' in add/remove programs.)

Changed in flashplugin-nonfree:
