Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

1) Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 with latest updates

2) pidgin Installed: 1:2.5.2-0ubuntu1

3) Save animated smileys in msn network by rightclicking on them, and choosin Add custom smiley

4) Smileys saved as static, without animation

The problem is that it will only save out as png and it needs gif's for them to be animated

if you select a gif you have already rather than trying to import someone else's it works

saving a smiley will just save out as a png which isnt animated

Same here. The icons don't show animation. I also noticed that one of them was displayed partially (just a part of the image, not the whole image) in the recipient's screen (MSN Messenger).
