Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-
To reproduce:
- create a vpnc connection using the NetworkManager applet
- choose not to save user and group passwords
- save the connection
- attempt to connect
- you will be prompted for the passwords
- write an invalid password
- the connection fails
- attempt to connect again
- you are not prompted for the passwords again
- the connection fails again
You will only be able to correct the password(s) if you edit the vpnc connection, don't change anything, save it and attempt to connect again (or, of course, if you log out and log in again into Gnome).
Using Ubuntu 8.10.
Relevant packages:

Note that the applet remembers passwords even if you cancel the passwords dialog. So if you attempt to connect and then change your mind while inputting the passwords, you won't be able to connect later since the applet uses the partial password(s) that you've written before canceling the dialog.
