Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I have tried to install the release version of the 32 bit ubuntu 8.10 on my multiboot system. I have burned two separate cds from two separate downloads of the iso file and ran the checker on the second. I have tried specifying the boot installer root before installing as well as letting it do the default install. Everytime I have tried to install ibex I get this crash in ubiquity at the end of the install program. I have not been able to find a way to boot to the partition after the crash. Instead my old boot menu is still in place.
Here is the version info for ubiquity
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ apt-cache policy ubiquity
