Bug Description

Openoffice2 writer 'save' freeze on ubuntu breezy build, and also 2.0.1 from http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/OOo2

Openoffice.org2-writer default build on breezy (1.9.129-0.1ubuntu4) freezes on a save of a particular document (discussed below). The file is created with a size of zero bytes.

Openoffice.org2-writer build from http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/OOo2 exhibits the same problem.

Openoffice build on Fedora Core 4 loads & saves the file sucessfully.

Attached is a 31k sample document that displays the problem.

Open in openoffice.org2-writer, save as a different filename.

Expected response: File saves.
Actual response: File created with zero bytes, openoffice freezes.

I'm starting to lock down the cause - it seems to be related to some staroffice/openoffice drawing objects that have been converted to curves.

To reproduce:
* Load Logo.odg (see next attached file).
* Create a new text document
* Paste logo into new document
* Resize it so that it is smaller
* Save document

Results: OO should crash.

To reproduce crash:
* Load Logo.odg
* Copy into buffer (ctrl-c)
* File->New text document
* Paste (ctrl-v)
* Resize logo (smaller)
* Attempt to save document.

I'm running gutsy and noticed that if I run out of disk space on root, OOo freezes occasionally and I have to kill it. If I get to save it before it freezes, it freezes, saves a 0K file - and I kill it again. Target to save is under /home that's not on the same partition as rest of the system. / -partition is the one that's full.

I'm not sure if this should be reported as new but I decided to put it here since the final result is the same as in this bugrep..
