Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm using Intrepid. Please see attached screenshot. (It's Hungarian but I think it's easy to understand the problem) There are 4 workspaces on the gnome panel when I set 2 and there are 2 workspaces when I set only 1. So there are twice as many workspaces to choose from the panel than I actually have. Clicking on the second workspace takes me to the first one, clicking on the forth one takes me to the second one. I tried to remove and re-add the workspace switcher applet but the issue remained.

As I mentioned in the report: "I tried to remove and re-add the workspace switcher applet but the issue remained."

This is a constant issue, I can't fix it, so I can't reproduce it. It's constantly like in the attached screenshot.

This happened again. Apparently it happens on every 3-4 bootup.

not an issue here, this needs to be confirmed by someone else having the issue. btw are you using compiz? does it happens without it?

I don't use compiz. I have no idea what is causing this. Sometimes when I boot up it's just like that. 4 workspaces instead of two.. This morning happened again.

we need detailed steps on how to reproduce the bug, setting them as incomplete, waiting for them.

Sometimes I have another bug with the system monitor. Please see the attached picture and compare it with the previous one. This has been a problem since Gutsy but it happens very rarely and I don't know how to reproduce it either. I don't know how to reproduce either of these bugs, they're just there sometimes. Is there a point to open a new bug with the system monitor problem?

It's been a long time since I've last seen this bug. Hope it won't come back.
