Bug Description

While trying to find the cause of XOrg using almost 100% CPU, I found a critical error in .xsession-errors (attached). I'm not sure whether it's a bug in gnome-appearance-properties, or compiz.

I got this while changing between no effects and normal effects in gnome-appearance-properties.

$ glxgears -info
GL_RENDERER = Quadro NVS 140M/PCI/SSE2
GL_VERSION = 2.1.2 NVIDIA 177.80

I'm running Intrepid, clean install.
