Bug Description
The popup text shown for ports in ipdevinfo should be altered a bit. This may be in conflict
with my earlier sugestion (sorry ;)), but I believe this is better:
interface name, [not active | speed], duplex, vlan, description, topology_
Eks:
GigabitEthernet6/1, not active, full duplex, vlan 35, "kasper"
GigabitEthernet6/2, 1000 Mbit, full duplex, vlan 20, "jesper", -> jesper
Another related fix:
The port view of ipdevinfo should have an extra row for "connected to" if topology info is derived.
For example below port name. Example:
Connected to: jesper

Popup text order fixed in http:// metanav. uninett. no/hg/default/ rev/fe90d956da2 4
As for the "Connected to" field in the port view, this is already there, but only enabled for ports on IP devices with category SW or EDGE. I.e. does Gi1/4 on uninett-gw not show "Connected to filerelay", even if the popup text contains "-> filerelay", since uninett-gw is of category GW.
Should this be changed? If yes, please file a new bug report.
