Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I reported the same issue when Hardy were released, though.
Translations, which exist in Rosetta and/or Upstream, are still missing from compiz-plugins package.
Please check .xml & .schemas files in this package. You can find only a few translated strings in the files.

The cause of the issue seems to be .po files in the source. Almost all lines in the files are commented out.

I think that's why translations not written into .xml files at compile time.
This issue seems not only on compiz-plugins but also on xkeyboard-config, gcompris, xscreensaver...etc, though.

Can not the packagers restore the comment-outted strings before compiling to make the compiz-plugins ?
