Intrepid Ibex: gnome network admin does not maintain a manual network configuration

Bug Description

On Ubuntu intrepid Ibex.
I tried to set a manual configuration for my network (ethernet) using gnome network admin and gnome network status applet.
After some time the connection settings are automatically reset on auto configuration (DHCP) and manual configuration is kept as secondary.
Thus, is impossible to set a manual configuration for the ethernet card.
