Music player and Totem Movie player crash when trying to play movie or music

Both the rhythmbox music player and the Totem Movie Player crash when I try to play music or a movie, The totem movie player displays what I think is an error message But it is blank. I downloaded V Player and it does the same thing. Not sure what to do. My OS is 8.10 Intrepid Kernel Linux 2.6.27-7-generic GNOME 2.24.1

I fixed it some how but if it happens again I will return thank you for your timely response.

closing the bug since that works correctly now, you can reopen if you get the issue again though
