Bug Description
Sometimes I want to work without accessing the internet... and because I'm almost always in a very wlan-saturated place, the power drain of my network card "listening" to all those packets affects the overall battery life (not much of course, but it's easily measurable).
For now I resort to unloading the wireless module (ath9k in my case), but It'd be awesome to have this functionality built in as a button in WICD.
I imagine unloading the kernel modules via WICD is difficult because of the variety of drivers available for different chipsets, but simply taking down the network (as in 'ifdown') could work as well?
