Bug Description
After upgrading to 8.10 I have problems connecting to one of my two wireless access points. I am using WPA2-PSK. Before the upgrade I could connect without problems to both access points. Now one of them is invisible, and impossible to connect to.
I have one Netgear WG602v3 and one D-Link DSL-G624T. My computer connects without problems to the D-Link. However, if I shut down the D-link, my wireless network disappears from NetworkManager. I have tried to use "connect to hidden network" without success.
If I boot with 2.6.24-21-generic, the network works as expected. I can see and connect to the Netgear AP.
I'm using a Dell XPS M1330 with a 3945abg network adapter.
I have attached syslogs for the following cases:
syslog_A.txt: D-link turned off, Netgear on. Boot with 2.6.27-7-generic. Log in to desktop, wait a while, couldn't see the network (SSID fordonet) in nm-applet, choose "Connect to hidden network", select "Connect" in the "Wireless Network Authentication Needed" dialog.
syslog_B.txt: D-link turned off. Netgear on. Boot with 2.6.24-21-generic. Log in to desktop. Network is automatically connected.
syslog_C.txt: D-link turned on. Netgear on. Boot with 2.6.27-7-generic. Log in to desktop. Network is automatically connected.
(The D-Link has ID 00:19:5b... and the Netgear has 00:14:6c...)
Edit: Found out that the invisible AP used channel 13, which means that this is the same problem as in #288401. Marking as duplicate.
