Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Using the pre-installed version of Firefox 3 (3.0.3) in Ubuntu 8.10, poor performance was observed at www.hungersite.com and the related sub sites (rainforest, breast cancer, animal rescue etc.)
The pages take a long time to load, distinctly longer than when using the equivalent Firefox version under Windows XP. I have tried repeatedly using both operating systems (hosted on the same machine) with the same results.
Please note that this has previously been reported as a bug (#281795) which turned into a question (#47736), and then expired.
Since these sites now has changed the clicking mechanism and instead requires "double-clicks", it has become rather tricky to register clicks on these sites using Firefox under Ubuntu. That is why I created a new bug report.

My previous statement that you need to double click was incorrect.
You only have to wait until the page is fully loaded, meaning it's no problem to get clicks registered, apart from the time it takes.
