Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
Hi,
After updating from hardy to intrepid (final) I can't connect to the WAP-EAP wifi at work anymore. It was working fine in Hardy.
Now, when I choose the net ssid in the N-M applet, in order to connect, a window opens asking for all the information about encryption type, certificate files location and password. I filled in the appropriate information, but the "connect" button remains greyed out.
I tried also entering the information on the network configuration tool, adding a new wireless net, but as soon as I chose an encrypted WPA-Enterprise type, the "ok" button is grayed and remains unaccessible no matter what information I put in the window fields.
I can see all the required information using gconf-editor. So, the necessary data is already stored. This, of course, comes from the previous hardy installation.
N-M version: 0.7~~svn2008101
Thanks,
Persio
Update:
I managed to conncet. In fact, I was putting the name of the certificates files in the wrong field. Now it is working.
The problem is that now the user certificate field comes before the CA certificate field. In Hardy it was the other way around.
Sorry for the confusion.
By the way, doesn't N-M accept p12 format certificates?
Thanks again,
Persio
