Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

Building a PPTP VPN tunnel with network-manager 0.7 creates a new ppp0 interface with a mtu-size of 1496. This is much to high (i guess) - tunnel breaks down after a packet with nearly this size tries to pass the tunnel. Network-Manager should default to around 1400 for pptp tunnels (1416 was default in version 0.6). Furthermore, network-manager 0.6 had fields to let user set MTU and MSS sizes manually - please reintroduce them in version 0.7.

Tunnel-Start gives in syslog:

NetworkManager: <info> Maximum Segment Size (MSS): 0

And Tunnel-Drop gives in syslog:
nm-pptp-service-12429 warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:331]: short read (-1): Message too long
nm-pptp-service-12429 log[callmgr_main:pptp_callmgr.c:234]: Closing connection (unhandled)
nm-pptp-service-12429 log[ctrlp_rep:pptp_ctrl.c:251]: Sent control packet type is 12 'Call-Clear-Request'
nm-pptp-service-12429 log[call_callback:pptp_callmgr.c:79]: Closing connection (call state)
