Bug Description

Binary package hint: arts

dpkg failed earlier due to disk (/var) being 100% full. Freed-up disk space and rerun apt-get. Now dpkg shows this error which is not fixed by:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

dpkg: error processing libarts1c2a (--configure):
 package libarts1c2a is not ready for configuration
 cannot configure (current status `triggers-awaited')
dpkg: ../../src/packages.c:221: process_queue: Assertion `dependtry <= 4' failed.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly

looks more like a bug in dpkg than the arts packaging.

This is also discussed in bug 262451and others. Briefly, a failure in the package's trigger script triggers the dpkg bug.

So there is a bug in package's trigger and in dpkg.
