Bug Description

Binary package hint: systemsettings

on Kubuntu 8.10 (newest from archive), fresh install, the newest thing is that systemsettings crash if I open sound-module. This is the output:

Could you install kdebase-workspace-dbg and get a new backtrace? The current one is lacking debug symbols. Thanks.

Removing .kde/share/config/phonondevicesrc solved the problem for me.

Since this bug was fixed with a configuration reset and we don't know what caused the malconfiguration we are closing this bug. If you can get any clue as to how the misconfiguration occurs, please re-open this bug.

no, this don't resolve my problem. I can't open the sound-settings in systemsettings... :( this bug isn't solved!
