Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.

Thanks for your report.

libvlccore0 should conflict with libvlc0 that have been obsoleted in Intrepid.

The workaround is to remove libvlc0 before installing the new version.

This debdiff should correct this in jaunty, I'll prepare it for an SRU as well.

Jaunty now has version 0.9.8a-1ubuntu1. Please see if the issue persists, if so, submit a patch for it. I am unsubscribing u-s-u for now, please resubscribe when ready.

Note: the above patch is reversed.

A Hardy -> Intrepid upgrade test showed no errors, is it still an issue?

Andrea,

I rejected your upload to hardy-proposed, since it references a wrong bug; it should point to this one; please fix and reupload (using the same version number).
Please also clarify the situation in Jaunty. I guess the jaunty task can just be closed as invalid, since this is only an issue when upgrading to hardy. But please verify.

I also subscribed motu-sru.

Oh, hang on, this is totally wrong. In above comment, I was talking about the bio2jack upload which is sitting in the queue, and which references LP #280538 (which is a duplicate of this one).

Intrepid Ibex reached end-of-life on 30 April 2010 so I am closing the
report. Can anyone confirm whether this issue still exists in later versions of Ubuntu?
