Opening home folder opens Totem player

Binary package hint: yelp

Just upgraded to 8.10. When you select Places\Home Folder, OS opens the Totem Movie Player instead of File Browser.

Thanks. Please try opening a file browser window, right clicking on a folder, selecting Properties, clicking on the 'Open With' tab in the properties window, and selecting 'Open Folder'

That should fix your problem
