Bug Description
I have see this on 2 different machines. Both PCs will shut down or restart correctly running 8.04 64 bit.
Both PCs fail to do a complete shutdown or restart running 8.1 bit.
They appear to close all programs etc but hang with just a cursor (looks like a dash) at the top left of the screen.
I noticed this with the Beta version on 8.1 as well as the current download from 10-29-2008
Both PCs are using AMD processors one a 2X 5200 with 1 gig ram the other a quad 9550 with 2 gig.
Mother boards are both .ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS
