Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I used the Kubuntu 8.10 LiveCD to do a clean install on 2 different computers (desktop: HP Compaq; netbook: Acer Aspire One). After each computer rebooted and logged in, the KDE4 start button was missing. Added the start menu through widgets, could not move the start menu to the default location. Ended up removing the .kde directory and re-logging in. Start menu was there.
