Bug Description
I just finished downloading the full version of Ubuntu 8.10 (I have Ubuntu 8.04 and I obtained 8.10 by way of a "Distribution Upgrade"). When I go to "Places" in the main panel, and click on any of the following: Home Folder, Desktop, Documents, Music, Pictures, or Videos...I am immediately directed to Movie Player...NOT a file browser as I should be. I deleted Movie Player and rebooted to try and reinstall it, but now the links just open everything in VLC. I'm pretty sure this isn't something I did as an error on my own. ADDITIONAL NOTE - I recently found out that if I use the "Places" menu to navigate down to "Connect to Server" and I attempt to connect to a windows share (login required) I have the exact same problem as described above with Movie Player coming up instead of a file browser.
