Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Hello,

Accidentally opening 10 tabs at a time (right click on the bookmark toolbar and click "Open All in Tabs") caused firefox to hang (the window went black), and when I clicked the window close button a dialog came up asking if I want to "Force Quit". I forced quit and then the system told me that a crash was detected.

Ubuntu 8.04 with latest updates.
Lenovo 3000 N100.
Desktop effects - Normal.
Add-ons installed:
- Adblock Plus *
- Better GMail 2

- Flashgot
- Greasemonkey *
- ImageTweak
- LiveHTTPHeaders
- Save complete
- Speed Dail
- Ubuntu Modifications *
- User Agent Switcher (disabled)
- YSlow
* From Ubuntu's repositories

I hope this will help you.

Hi,

firefox extensions are the cause for the majority of bugs reported against firefox.

To check that the bug you are seeing is actually a firefox one (and not an extension one), please disable your extensions one-by-one (restart firefox in between) until there is either no enabled extension left or your problem is resolved.

Please report your findings back.

Thanks,
 - Alexander

Hi,

unfortunately your crash report didn't yield the required information. This can eventually happen. Please go ahead and submit new crash reports in future.

Thanks for your contribution,
