Bug Description

Binary package hint: tsclient

Ran 'update-manager -d' to go from 8.04 > 8.10 and now tsclient freezes frequently. Sometimes it works fine for a while, then it just stops responding. Clicking "X" on the titlebar eventually closes it, but it frequently continues to freeze upon restart. Version: 0.150

Also, the About screen links to http://www.gnomepro.com/tsclient/, which looks like a parked page.

I also upgraded my system from 8.04 to 8.10, and am now regretting it, since I regularly need to use tsclient.

I can get this to happen every time I open a second tsclient window (connecting to vista desktops).

gdm also stops responding except for mouse movements

I can reset gdm via #/etc/init.d/gdm restart and then reconnect.

It usually happens immediately during the connection process, and a little grey bar gets left hovering in the middle of the desktop.

I found that it is much more stable now, but can't pinpoint the solution. I installed 8.10 from the install media (fresh start) and now use RDPv5 (which I remember worked best with 8.04 also)

I can also confirm that the problem seemed worse when connecting to multiple boxes, but I only connect to XP machines.

When I enter an IP address to VNC to a machine, the history list will appear and not go away. Plus the screen is jammed and I have to ctrl+alt+backspace to start over.

I just installed fresh Ubuntu Hardy 8.10 and I have same problem.
It maybe related to xorg (i hate xorg!) or gnome?
When open one tsclient, its fine, if I open two then it complete freezes the screen, so I have to logout and log back in.
any solution for this bug?
