Bug Description

I am having issues with Dapper flight 3 for Ubuntu. I am getting Module fbcon not found and also Module vga16fb not found. This is after it starts loading the modules. It also shows Failed to mount /selinux/ no such file or directory. Some times when I restart I get xserver not configured. If I shutdown and start up again it goes into a graphical login. For this problem it is also a problem with Kubuntu as well but with Kubuntu it just goes to a non graphical login. If I shut the system down and start it up again it will go to a graphical login but every other time it just goes to the non-graphical login and even if I enter startx it fails to start up so I need to shutdown and start up again.

Maybe you should. I think they are watching certain bugs but not others. I think the more that report problems the faster they will fix them.

Wrong package and all this stuff should be already fixed in recent dappers.
Also opening more than one bug for the same problem is only time consuming.

Changed in xserver-xorg-driver-vga:

This is not fixed. I know this because when I start up my machine with all the latest updates I still get these errors. I usually download and burn the latest dapper flight and still get the same errors so for me this is not fixed. I should be going straight to a graphical login which does not happen because it gets to these errors and then goes back to the old way of seeing each item start up.

I do install daily and these errors are not there. Check that your initramfs is updated properly.

PS: graphical boot is not the same as login and the former (that is the problem you are talking about is not an X bug)

Well I updated the system the other day and it seems to have bypassed these module errors so maybe the problem was fixed but much later then mentioned.
