Well, My network manager has an issue that at a certain time I lose my connection for wlan0. When this happens, i'd like to restart to fix the problem temporarily (8.10 in 2 days :).

When I click the shutdown button my desktop 'freezes' But the statistics in my applicationbar are still running. I can't switch desktops with Compiz.

The only solution to shutdown is to hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Backspace to restart my X. Or hard-press the shutdown button (Which is wat I don't want).
