Bug Description
I'd like to be able to hover over the task icons on the AWN panel and have all windows _except_ the window represented by the icon my mouse is over to go transparent. I imagine this would need a Compiz plugin that any dock could activate with DBUS in order to hide all windows
So, the workflow is something like this
1.Open 10 Windows, have lots of tasks in the dock.
2. Get confused about which window is which
3. Mouseover any task in the dock - hover for some time. All _other_ windows should fade out to reveal just the window that the icon I'm hovering over will activate.
4. Move to another window, see the same thing happening but without any hover delay
5. Select my window without having to bring lots of other windows to the top.
6. Be happy
I would be nice for the feature to be implemented in a 'dbussy' way so that other docks/task managers and other Window managers could work together.
As I remember the Compiz window switcher plugin used to have a mode that would simply hide all windows except the current one (and alt-tab would change which one was selected) - the functionality would be very similar to this...

I'm fairly sure that this needs to be implemented by window managers, not Awn. Therefore, assigning to compiz (and if you really want other WMs to do this, file bugs for them as well).
Precedent for this is the window preview compiz plugin, which works fine with Awn *and* the gnome-panel window list.
