Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu Intrepid with Conduit version 0.3.14 from the repositories. I was trying to set up a Box.net source, so I went to configure that item. I was told to log in to Box.net using Conduit's internal web browser, which I did. Login succeeded, but after closing the internal web browser Conduit crashed.

I have reproduced this same problem with different sync plugins and closing the internal web browser at different points.

I recommend updating to Conduit 0.3.15 soonish. That release is devoted to small fixes and may have resolved the issue we see here. Since Conduit is itself still an unstable "development version", I don't think there is much to lose in doing so.

Actually Conduit 0.3.14 was a stable release, however I forgot to inform autotools of that fact, so the main window still displays "Unstable" in the title.

0.3.15 is a bug fix release from the same branch (gnome-2.24). We will continue to make bug fixes from this branch in the 0.3.x series.

Only trunk is open for new features.

As for the issue you describe, I believe it is a bug in (py)webkit, but I have not yet been able to track it down. It wasn't present at release, so I think it snuck into (py)webkit after. I am still looking into it

I'm seeing the same thing on my end. Sorta makes conduit unusable for my purposes for now. However, I do appreciate the work you guys are going and look forward to seeing it fixed.

This is a bug in webkit and is solved by updating to a more recent webkit version from the webit ppa

## Webkit
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/webkit-team/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/webkit-team/ubuntu intrepid main

See http://code.google.com/p/pywebkitgtk/issues/detail?id=23

I dont hold much hope that an updated webkit version will get into intrepid nor jaunty. Perhpas you could file a bug to ensure that the webkit release in the webit ppa gets into universe for jaunty

For the record, it's seems to be fixed with (at least) r40220 of webkit (http://code.google.com/p/pywebkitgtk/issues/detail?id=23)
Reaffect to webkit
