Nautilus "Open with Other Application..." Dialog box has random, multiple entries

To recreate bug in Nautilus:

Right-click on any file
Choose "Open with Other Application..." from the context menu

Please see the attached screenshot showing two problems in the "Open With" dialog box:
1. The list of programs appears to be randomly distributed--should be alphabetized.
2. Many (actually most) programs appear two or more times in the list. Okular appears 6 times.
