Computer freezes when pressing quit in Chromium

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Chromium in window mode.
2. Play for a while.
3. Exit the game by pressing quit in the main menu.

System freezes completely, no input device work, hard reset works only.

Using Ubuntu 8.10, laptop Acer Aspire 5670 with Ati Mobility Radeon X1600

This needs to be reassigned to the appropriate xorg video driver, it is not a chromium-bsu bug.

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you're using a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.
