Bug Description

In kmail, I tried to set up two different smtp accounts, and after I complete all the data, it doesn't appear at "Sending" tab (I am not sure if the tab is called "sending", I have it in Spanish and it says "Enviando").

I tried with gmail smtp and one server of my university.

Should I change the status from "incomplete" to "new" or I should wait someone else consider it as complete with the new information I added?

Usually you would leave it at incomplete, although it doesn't matter if you set it to new, if someone has further questions he/she will set it to incomplete anyway.

Anyway, please provide a list of what you are doing exaclty (i.e. what settings do you set in which order).

Ok. I have kmail in Spanish, so I will write the options as I think they should be en English:
In settings -> Acounts -> Sending -> Add...
I follow the instructions in http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78799

Name: RTFM
Server: smtp.gmail.com
"Check what settings the server supports"
Port: 465
SSL
Adcanced:
Use Authentication
User: <email address hidden>
Password: my pass
Save password
And then: Ok

And the account I just added doesn't appear in the list!

Is this still a problem in 9.04? It got a much more reliable version of KDE.

If it does not: Alejandro, did you also upgrade your system? In this case it might be an upgrade issue in the KDE 3 => KDE 4 conversion.

I am sorry, but I cannot answer the question any more as I am using Debian+WindowMaker now, I don't use Ubuntu+KDE any more.
Hope somebody can help by continuing reporting.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.04). If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #>, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
