Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

What's wrong:
I have several bookmarks, which I usually organized into folders from time to time. When I am doing this task, as I drag and drop bookmarks into folders, Firefox closes unexpectedly. I tried this three times in two computers with different settings.

Hi,

firefox extensions are the cause for the majority of bugs reported against firefox.

To check that the bug you are seeing is actually a firefox one (and not an extension one), please disable your extensions one-by-one (restart firefox in between) until there is either no enabled extension left or your problem is resolved.

Please report your findings back.

Thanks,
 - Alexander

I actually don't use extensions, and the problem exists. How can I do now?

according to the info you submitted you have quite a few extensions installed:

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18954497/ExtensionSummary.txt

diable them in tools -> addons ... or better yet. uninstall them if you dont use them.

I experience something similar on Ubuntu Intrepid FF3.0.5 with all add-ons disabled. The submenus on the bookmarks toolbar don't open when I want to drag an entry (ie. new entry from address bar) into it. Firefox freezes, the dragged entry is being displayed one and a half times (in place), and the mouse is frozen to drag mode. Everything I can do is switching to tty1 and killing firefox from the console.
I'm pretty sure this is reproduceable.
