Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-orca

I started Orca from Applications>Universal Access>Orca, it then loaded a terminal with a list of languages, Orca was trying to say "Welcome to Orca" but the stopped talking half way through, but the list of languages continued to grow. When i clicked close, I heard the remaining sound of the language it was ment to be saying (must of been doing it in the back ground)

This happened 3 times, the 4th time, it worked fine. Can someone else try starting and setting up Orca to see if they can produce the bug too please?

Is this still an issue for you in latest intrepid, or in the latest jaunty alpha release? http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases

I last experaced this this bug in haron however now a more serious bug in jaunty is causing the speech to go too fast to confirm this bug. So it is now dependant on fixing the new bug. Grrr.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
