compiz switcher alt-tab no icons when windows are minimized

When switching between windows when using compiz, it doesn't show any icons for windows that are minimized and it's hard to know if there are any other windows open unless you go through all of them as there is no clear distinction where one window ends and another starts when there are no icons present. It should at least show some kind of image. I've attached a screenshot showing what i just described. It gets really weird when there are a lot of minimized windows.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex 64 Bit with current updates.

I had the same problem. Disabling mipmaps in CompizConfig > Application Switcher solved the problem. Might be a driver problem? I'm using ATI fglrx 2.8.543 from ubuntu 8.10.

Could be. I also have an ATI card and am using the fglrx drivers.

Sorry, image posted by mistake (wanted to leave a jpeg). I am using Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit, and had the same issue (as the image describes). But the problem (at least partially) seems solved by Caramdir solution. Just had to restart to make it work. Thanks!
The only thing is an old issue of not properly displaying the application snapshot in the application switcher when they are minimized. Now only the icons appear in the list (see new attachment).
