Miro exits when you try to play video

Bug Description
Binary package hint: miro
The program shuts down when you try and play a video. I have tried several of the videos from different places but its still the same.
I am using ubuntu Intrepid Ibex beta 8.10

Sometimes this can happen due to an error in the underlying xine library, but no crash log was included in this bug report so it's hard to say. Given the age of the bug report though, the issue may well have been fixed by now anyway.
