fbterm problem in ubuntu-eee

Today, I apt-get install fbterm package in ubuntu-eee. And so setting,
reboot. I input ctrl+alt+F1, but don't work vesa redering display.

Maybe it's need kernel update...

Please improve vesafb environment in next release if possible.
My pc: eeepc 901x Ubuntu 8.04.1, kernel 2.6.24-21-eeepc
