Bug Description

Ok, say you make something like logo or something and you want to make a realistic perspective reflection underneath it. There should be a way to drag the corners and skew the image to give it a sense of perspective. I looked around and couldn't find this feature in Inkscape. When you drag the handles it just adjusts the size of the whole selection. I think it would be a very handy feature to be able to adjust each corner independently... have little handles you can drag one by one to adjust the skew of the drawing. It would be great for text, reflections, and perspective, like a line of buildings or something. Thanks!

There are Envelope and Perspective effects that do what you wish (although you have to draw the skeleton path separately).

In the development version you can test the Envelope and Perspective Live Path effects, this is more like your request as you can edit the effect live on canvas (Perspective is a bit weird though as the logic is different, you have to move the object across the canvas).

Ok thanks... I'll try to figure it out. I've been mainly using the development version.

I forgot to add in the dev build there is also the Lattice Deformation under Path effects, in this effect you get 16 points overlayed over the object and you can move each to deform the object, object deforms more in the part closer to the point.

In Envelope effect you get a square frame around the object, it's divided into 4 paths: top, bottom, left and right, and you edit the paths in the frame to deform the object.

But to get a realistic perspective you have to use Perspective effect, it's hard to fake it using other tools.
