Bug Description

I'm unable to received files with latest obex-data-server from my Nokia 6210 Navigator.
When I sent a picture, I only received an error on my phone "Impossible to connect"
Launching ods-server-test.py application in console doesn't spew an error.

I add gnome-user-share to impacted package as it uses it for file reception.

Updating to the latest obex-data-server fixes the problem, I've made the package available in my ppa.
If someone can confirm the same error, and check latest obex-data-server fixes the issue for him, that would be cool.

I just upgraded to Intrepid. Tried to receive via bluetooth, and it didn't work. Note that I was able to receive via bluetooth (obex send from phone) in Hardy. I then upgraded to your package and still couldn't receive :-/

Using Nokia N95

Note: I cannot find the 'allow devices to send to this computer' any more. Where do I actually *enable* obex receive?

Browse works fine (browse phone from pc...)

Just to clarify, files reception is now handle with gnome-user-share, so
first you need to go to System->Preferences and activate file sharing
over Bluetooth.

Ok excellent, that works fine with your package. I can finally receive after about a year of broken obex!

I downgraded to the current package from the main repo, rebooted, and was unable to receive files. Upgrading to your package again!

So: I can confirm that receiving files doesn't work with the package currently in main, and that receiving with your package does work. I am using a nokia N95.

Completely unrelated: why have they moved obex file reception into a package from the universe repo? Aargh, this is getting worse and worse :-/

I can confirm that the Baptiste's package fixes this issue. Without it receiving files doesn't work in Intrepid.

I cannot agree more, this was fine in the bluetooth applet, but that should be fixed/discussed here instead : Bug #290875

Hello Baptiste,

Just logged in for thank you your package which fixes that bug. I wasn't able to receive files from my nokia 6210 to my Ubuntu laptop (8.04 previously and updated to 8.10 lastly).
I installed your package and user-gnome-share.
After that and with bluetooth-applet launched, I could send/receive files !!!!

Merci beacoup!!!!!!
