Bug Description

Have a compaq laptop (c792vu), wi-fi with the atheros wi-fi card was working fine until kernel update. Now firefox has defaulted to 'working offline'. When I uncheck the working offline box, firefox can't find a server. The connection icon on the top bar has a cross on it, indicating no connection. The two wi-fi networks I have configured are still there, but there is no connection made. Hardware drivers says the atheros card is enabled. I think the kernel number was 2.6.27-7-14 generic - (uname -a doesn't show the last two 'sub kernel' digits).
