it just doesnt connect at all to myspace im. and its been since i upgraded to 2.5.2 on ubuntu 8.10.

I have duplicated this issue in Kubuntu 8.04 running pidgin 2.5.2. Debug log attached.

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 9.04 with both pidgin 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 (upgrade didn't change problem). Included is logfile
