Binary package hint: sound-recorder
In Intrepid, launch sound recorder and select an input (shouldn't one be selected by default?). on my machine i only have one option: capture.
click the record button and note that each second of record time gets registered as about 2 minutes. after clicking stop, the application usually hangs for a bit before letting you continue. playback of the recorded audio doesn't appear to work (it plays silence for the exaggerated duration).
the attached screenshot shows the hung state and also shows the duration registering as about 22 minutes...even though i only recorded 10 seconds worth of audio.
