Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

on a fresh intrepid ibex beta install (Iso downloaded on tuesday if I remember correctly), the firefox windows is bigger than the desktop (see attached picture). This happened on a 17'' LCD, on two different computers. I had to move the window with Alt+click to access the maximize/close buttons in the top right corner. On both computers, it was an install from scratch (no data present in /home).

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

Hi! At my machine it was a compiz issue. The solution was:

Install and run the compiz settings manager. Select "place windows". Configure this item: In my configuration the checkbox at workaround was selected. Uncheck it.

Now everything runs fine.
