Bug Description
This one is a little confusing to explain, but horrible on the bandwidth usage.
When you submit or edit a material, the image on the submission page is _directly_ shown, but with a fixed HTML defined width. This means that, despite the small appearance on screen, users are often loading 10MB 1600x3200 images and displaying them as seemingly small 100x200 images.
Obviously, this is not a common occurrence as it is right now, since no users are editing pages.
Unfortunately, I cannot even imagine a work around... Any ideas?

Evan, can you be more specific, please?
Is this when you are uploading your own material or when you are in a material page? If this is happening in the front page, then we have a really BIG problem.
