Bug Description

When I try to boot into my newly installed intrepid system on my laptop (x86_64, 2 GB ram), i get the error:

0.004000 Aperture beyond 4GB. Ignoring.

Then progress bar stops partway and does not continue booting unless I keep pressing enter.

This seems to be similar to bug #271070, but is slightly different in that it will not boot (at least not normally).

My uname -a output:
Linux Ziggy 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Thu Oct 30 04:12:22 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
